About the Autobianchi Stellina
The Autobianchi Stellina, introduced at the 1963 Turin Motor Show, holds the distinction of being the first Italian production car to feature a fibreglass body. Built on a reinforced Fiat 600D platform, it was designed by Luigi Rapi as a stylish, rust-resistant alternative to mainstream small cars. Despite its innovative construction, high production costs and the arrival of the Fiat 850 Spider limited its success. Today, it is a highly prized rarity among Italian car collectors, valued for its unique place in automotive material history and its charming, diminutive presence.
