About the Fiat Zero

The Fiat Zero, also known as the 12/15 HP, represents a pivotal moment in Italian motoring as the first Fiat to be produced in significant numbers using standardised assembly techniques. It was designed to be a more accessible, reliable 'economy' model compared to the brand's earlier behemoths, featuring a monobloc four-cylinder engine and a robust four-speed gearbox. The car is historically significant for its radiator design, which was the work of a young Giovanni Battista 'Pinin' Farina, marking the beginning of the legendary Pininfarina design house. Today, it is a highly prized Edwardian-era collector car, valued for its pioneering role in industrialising the Italian car market and its surprisingly refined touring capabilities.
