About the Audi Sport Quattro
The Audi Sport Quattro was a purpose-built homologation special designed to reclaim Audi's dominance in the FIA Group B World Rally Championship. It featured a wheelbase shortened by 320mm compared to the standard Quattro to improve agility, and a body constructed largely from carbon-Kevlar and glass-fibre reinforced plastic. Under the bonnet sat a sophisticated 20-valve five-cylinder engine, the first of its kind for Audi, producing over 300 hp in road trim. Its extreme proportions and massive flared arches make it one of the most recognisable and sought-after performance cars of the 1980s.

Audi Sport Quattro rarity in CarSpot
The Audi Sport Quattro is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
Audi Sport Quattro fun facts
- The Sport Quattro's wheelbase was shortened so significantly that the rear seats are virtually unusable, serving primarily as a shelf for the battery and tools.
- To meet Group B regulations, Audi had to produce 200 units; they ultimately built 214, of which only 164 were sold to the public.
- The windscreen was taken from the Audi 80 rather than the standard Quattro to provide a more upright angle, reducing internal reflections for rally drivers.
