About the Audi RS 6 C7
The C7-generation RS 6 Avant marked a significant shift for Audi Sport, downsizing from the previous generation's 5.0-litre V10 to a more efficient 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. Despite the loss of two cylinders, the C7 was lighter and faster, utilising a sophisticated cylinder-on-demand system and an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. It was sold exclusively as an 'Avant' estate, cementing its status as the ultimate practical performance car. Its combination of Quattro all-wheel drive and massive torque made it a formidable all-weather interceptor, capable of shaming contemporary supercars while carrying a family and their luggage.
