About the Audi RS 6 C5
The C5-generation RS 6 Avant was the first Audi to truly challenge the dominance of the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. Developed in collaboration with Cosworth, its 4.2-litre biturbo V8 delivered a massive 450 PS, making it the most powerful Audi ever at its launch. It introduced Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) to manage its significant weight, though the system is a known maintenance point for collectors today. With its flared wheel arches and understated 'sleeper' aesthetic, it established the blueprint for all subsequent RS 6 generations as the ultimate all-weather family express.
