About the Audi Quattro B2

Audi introduced the roadgoing Quattro in 1980, combining a turbocharged five-cylinder engine with permanent all-wheel drive. Its success in international rallying transformed the image of four-wheel drive on performance cars. This early WR-engined specification has strong mid-range boost and distinctive five-cylinder sound. Later cars gained larger and eventually 20-valve engines, while the short-wheelbase Sport Quattro is a separate model.
