About the Audi 80 B3

The B3-generation Audi 80, internally designated Typ 89, was a landmark for Audi, moving the brand further upmarket with its 'Aero' design and class-leading 0.29 drag coefficient. It was the first mid-sized car to feature a fully zinc-coated galvanised body, offering unprecedented corrosion resistance that became a hallmark of the model's longevity. The 1.8 E trim utilised Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection to provide a significant performance boost over the carburetted base models. While not a sports saloon in the modern sense, its exceptional build quality and refined cabin set new standards for the compact executive segment.
