About the Alpine GTA Le Mans
Launched in 1990 to celebrate Alpine's racing heritage, the GTA Le Mans is the most visually striking variant of the Grand Tourisme Alpine series. It is distinguished by a dramatic wide-body kit featuring integrated arch extensions and three-piece ACT BBS-style wheels, a look that directly influenced its successor, the A610. While the standard GTA V6 Turbo produced 200 PS, the Le Mans was fitted with a catalytic converter to meet emissions regulations, resulting in a slight power drop to 185 PS. Despite the lower output, its lightweight glass-fibre body and rear-engine layout maintain the agile, rear-biased handling characteristics typical of the marque. Only 325 units were produced, including just 26 right-hand-drive examples for the UK market, making it a highly sought-after collector's item.

Alpine GTA Le Mans rarity in CarSpot
The Alpine GTA Le Mans is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
Alpine GTA Le Mans fun facts
- The Le Mans edition was only available in three colours: Alpine Blue, Imperial Red, and Beetle Green.
- Because it was one of the first Alpines to feature a catalytic converter, it actually produced 15 hp less than the standard non-catalysed V6 Turbo.
- The body kit was so successful that Alpine used it as the primary design basis for the subsequent A610 model.
