About the Volkswagen T-Roc Mk1
Launched in 2017, the Volkswagen T-Roc was the brand's first foray into the competitive subcompact crossover market, positioned between the smaller T-Cross and the larger Tiguan. The 1.5 TSI R-Line trim serves as a popular mid-to-high range choice, featuring the 'Evo' engine with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) that shuts down two cylinders under light loads to improve efficiency. The R-Line package adds a more aggressive body kit, 19-inch 'Suzuka' alloy wheels, and a lowered sports suspension, giving it a more purposeful stance than the standard model. Inside, it offers a digital cockpit and R-Line specific upholstery, though it retains the MQB platform's characteristic composed handling and Golf-like driving dynamics.
