About the Vauxhall Victor FB
The FB Victor was Vauxhall's conservative response to the controversial, rust-prone F-type, ditching the wraparound windscreens and tailfins for a clean, three-box design. It proved to be a massive commercial success, offering a more spacious interior and significantly improved build quality, though it remained mechanically simple with a carry-over 1.5-litre engine. While the sporty VX4/90 variant is more sought after today, the standard 1.5 saloon remains a quintessential symbol of early 1960s British family motoring. Survivors are relatively rare due to the era's lack of corrosion protection, making well-preserved examples a nostalgic choice for collectors.
