About the Vauxhall Insignia A
Launched in 2008 to replace the ageing Vectra, the Insignia A represented a significant leap forward in design and perceived quality for Vauxhall. The 2013 facelift introduced a cleaner interior layout, replacing the cluttered button-heavy dashboard with a more intuitive touchscreen system. In SRi trim, the car features a lowered sports suspension and more aggressive styling, though it remains primarily focused on long-distance motorway comfort. The 163 PS 2.0 CDTi engine was the mainstay of the range, offering a strong balance of mid-range torque and impressive fuel economy for high-mileage drivers.
