About the Vauxhall Combo C
The third-generation Vauxhall Combo, known as the Combo C, was a significant departure from its predecessor, featuring a purpose-built high-roof rear section integrated with the front end of the Corsa C. The 1.7 DI variant utilised a robust Isuzu-sourced 16-valve engine, prioritising durability and low-end torque over outright performance. It was highly regarded for its ability to accommodate a standard Euro-pallet, a rare feat for a van of its footprint at the time. While basic in specification, its car-derived suspension provided a more refined driving experience than many contemporary rivals, making it a staple of urban delivery fleets throughout the 2000s.
