About the Vauxhall Brava
The Vauxhall Brava was a rebadged version of the third-generation Isuzu TF (Faster) pickup, introduced to replace the ageing Bedford KB. Initially launched under the Bedford brand in 1988, it was rebranded as a Vauxhall in 1990 following the retirement of the Bedford nameplate. The 2.5-litre naturally aspirated diesel engine, sourced from Isuzu, was prized for its mechanical simplicity and longevity, though it offered modest performance. Known for its class-leading load bay and 1,100kg payload capacity, the Brava became a staple of the UK agricultural and construction sectors. While prone to rust like many pickups of its era, surviving examples are now exceptionally rare and valued for their utilitarian charm.

Vauxhall Brava fun facts
- The Brava was Vauxhall's first four-wheel-drive vehicle, though the 2.5 D was also available in a standard 4x2 rear-wheel-drive configuration.
- Despite its British branding, the Brava was actually manufactured by Isuzu in Thailand and imported to the UK market.
- According to DVLA data, fewer than 100 examples of the 2.5 D variant remain registered in the UK, making it a rarer sight than many exotic supercars.
