About the Toyota Camry XV70

The XV70 generation marked the Camry's return to the UK market after a 14-year absence, serving as a hybrid-only replacement for the Avensis. Built on the TNGA-K platform, it features a significantly lower centre of gravity and a more sophisticated double-wishbone rear suspension compared to its predecessors. The 2.5-litre 'Dynamic Force' engine achieves a high thermal efficiency of 41%, paired with an electric motor for a total system output of 215 bhp. While designed primarily for efficiency and comfort, the XV70's stiffer chassis provides a more composed driving experience than previous iterations.
