About the Toyota Auris E150

Launched in 2006 to replace the Corolla hatchback in the European market, the E150 Auris was designed from the inside out to maximise passenger space. The 1.4-litre VVT-i served as the entry-level petrol engine, prioritising fuel economy and low running costs over outright performance. It features a high roofline and a distinctive 'bridged' centre console that brings the gear lever closer to the driver. While it lacks the driver engagement of its contemporary rivals, it is highly regarded by used buyers for its exceptional mechanical durability and build quality.
