About the Toyota Aqua NHP10

Launched in late 2011, the Toyota Aqua (known as the Prius c outside Japan) was designed to offer the efficiency of the Prius in a smaller, more affordable package. It utilised a downsized version of Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive, pairing a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor to achieve record-breaking fuel economy. The NHP10 generation became a massive success, particularly in Japan where it was the best-selling car for three consecutive years. While not built for performance, its low centre of gravity and compact dimensions provide a nimble urban driving experience that remains highly sought after on the used market.
