About the Toro Rosso STR8
Scuderia Toro Rosso's 2013 car was designed under technical director James Key and powered by a 2012-specification Ferrari Tipo 056 V8 with KERS, driving through a Red Bull Technology seven-speed gearbox. Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne both stayed on from 2012. A new suspension system introduced at the Chinese Grand Prix brought the first signs of progress, with Ricciardo reaching Q3 and finishing seventh. Vergne scored the team's best result of the year with sixth in Canada, and Toro Rosso finished eighth in the Constructors' Championship with 33 points.
