About the Tatra 613

Designed by Vignale and engineered behind the Iron Curtain, the Tatra 613 was a radical departure from its aerodynamic predecessors. It features a unique 'semi-mid' engine layout, where the air-cooled V8 sits directly over the rear axle to improve weight distribution. Reserved almost exclusively for high-ranking Communist Party officials and emergency services, it was never intended for public sale. Its DOHC engine and sophisticated chassis made it one of the fastest and most capable luxury cars produced in the Eastern Bloc.
