About the Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S
Introduced in 2020 to meet stricter European emissions standards, the ZC33S-generation Swift Sport Hybrid replaced the pure-petrol Boosterjet with a 48V mild-hybrid K14D engine. While peak power dropped from 140 PS to 129 PS, the addition of an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) increased peak torque to 235 Nm and improved low-end responsiveness. Despite the extra electrical hardware, Suzuki maintained the car's signature lightweight ethos, keeping the kerb weight at a remarkable 1,025 kg. It remains a standout 'warm hatch' for its agile handling and mechanical simplicity in an increasingly heavy segment.
