About the Subaru Outback BR

The fourth-generation Subaru Outback (BR) refined the brand's crossover formula with a larger, more spacious cabin and increased ground clearance. This 2.0D variant features Subaru's unique EE20 horizontally opposed diesel engine, designed to provide a low centre of gravity and reduced vibration compared to traditional inline diesels. While it lacks the frameless windows of its predecessors, it gained a more robust chassis and improved safety features. It remains a cult favourite for its 'Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive' system and genuine off-road utility without the bulk of a traditional SUV.
