About the Subaru Legacy BM
The fifth-generation Subaru Legacy (BM) marked a significant shift toward a larger, more refined executive profile, prioritising cabin space and ride comfort over the raw rally-bred character of its predecessors. In the UK, the 2.0i SE trim offered a well-appointed interior with leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control, though the saloon body style was eventually phased out in favour of the more popular Tourer. Its defining feature remains the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, which provides consistent grip and stability that few front-wheel-drive rivals in the D-segment can match. While the naturally aspirated 2.0-litre boxer engine is not a powerhouse, its low centre of gravity contributes to a composed and predictable handling balance.
