About the Rolls-Royce Phantom III
The Phantom III was the final large pre-war Rolls-Royce and the last model to receive significant design input from Sir Henry Royce before his death. It was a technological tour de force, featuring the marque's first V12 engine and an innovative independent front suspension system. As a rolling chassis, it was clothed by the era's finest coachbuilders, including Barker, Hooper, and H.J. Mulliner, resulting in some of the most opulent motor cars ever built. Its complexity, particularly the twin-ignition system and hydraulic tappets, makes it a car for the dedicated collector, but its refinement remains legendary.
