About the Rolls-Royce Phantom IV
The Phantom IV is the rarest and most prestigious production Rolls-Royce, with only 18 units manufactured between 1950 and 1956. It was the only Rolls-Royce model to be powered by a straight-eight engine, designed to provide exceptional low-speed torque for ceremonial processions. Each chassis was delivered to independent coachbuilders like Mulliner or Hooper to be finished to the specific requirements of royal families and heads of state. Its significance is cemented by its role as the official state car for the British Royal Family, a tradition that began with this model.
