About the Ram 1500 RHO DT
The Ram 1500 RHO marks a significant shift for the brand's performance division, replacing the supercharged V8 TRX with a high-output 3.0-litre 'Hurricane' straight-six. Despite the loss of two cylinders, it remains a formidable off-road athlete, utilizing the same wide-body architecture and long-travel suspension as its predecessor. The RHO features Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers and a reinforced frame, allowing for 14 inches of rear wheel travel. It is roughly 150 lbs lighter than the TRX, primarily over the front axle, which improves weight distribution and high-speed handling in technical terrain. While it lacks the raw soundtrack of the Hellcat engine, its twin-turbocharged delivery provides immediate torque for desert-racing duties.
