About the Porsche Panamera 972
The third-generation '972' Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid represents Porsche's commitment to high-performance electrification, replacing the previous Turbo S with a more integrated hybrid system. It features the innovative Porsche Active Ride suspension, which uses active motor-pump units to counteract pitch and roll, allowing the car to lean into corners like a motorcycle. The 4.0-litre V8 is paired with a 190 PS electric motor housed within the PDK gearbox, providing instantaneous torque and a significant electric-only range. While heavier than its predecessors, the 972 offers a more cohesive design and a tech-heavy interior inspired by the Taycan.
