About the Nissan Rasheen
The Nissan Rasheen is a quirky, Japanese-market compact crossover that debuted in late 1994, though the 1.8-litre SR18DE variant arrived later in 1997. Built by Takada Kogyo, the same specialist firm responsible for the Figaro and Be-1, it shares its underpinnings with the B14-generation Sunny but features a rugged, angular body inspired by the East German Wartburg 353. Every Rasheen came equipped with Nissan's ATTESA all-wheel-drive system, making it a capable 'soft-roader' for urban and rural use. Its distinctive two-piece split tailgate and retro-themed interior, often featuring plaid upholstery, have made it a cult favourite among JDM enthusiasts and collectors.
