About the Nissan NV

The Nissan NV2500 HD was introduced for the 2012 model year as a rugged alternative to the ageing domestic van offerings in North America. Built on a modified version of the Titan pickup's F-Alpha platform, it features a body-on-frame construction that prioritises durability and towing capacity. The 2500 HD trim offered a significant step up in payload over the base 1500, available in both standard and high-roof configurations. Its distinctive long-hood design was chosen to move the engine out of the cabin, improving legroom and simplifying mechanical maintenance compared to traditional 'dog-house' van layouts.
