About the Nissan Cefiro A31
The A31-generation Nissan Cefiro was originally launched as a premium executive saloon to compete with the Toyota Mark II, sharing its rear-wheel-drive platform with the R32 Skyline and C33 Laurel. While marketed to salarymen with high-tech features like HICAS four-wheel steering and DUET-SS electronic suspension, its mechanical DNA made it an accidental icon of the drifting world. The 2.5-litre turbocharged variant, though rare in factory form compared to the RB20DET models, offered a significant torque advantage. Today, clean examples are highly prized by collectors for their interchangeability with S-chassis and Skyline components, though many have been heavily modified for track use.

Nissan Cefiro A31 fun facts
