About the Mercedes-AMG C 43 W205
Introduced as part of the 2018 facelift (MY2019 in North America), the updated W205 C 43 4MATIC received a significant power bump to 390 PS (385 hp) thanks to larger turbochargers. It serves as the bridge between the standard C-Class and the V8-powered C 63, offering a more usable, rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that excels in daily driving and adverse conditions. The facelift also introduced a revised 9-speed TCT transmission, a twin-louver radiator grille, and an optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. While it lacks the 'one man, one engine' hand-built status of its larger siblings, its M276 engine provides a sharp, raspy soundtrack and impressive mid-range torque.
