About the McLaren Elva
The McLaren Elva is the fifth member of the Ultimate Series, designed as a modern homage to the M1A, M1B, and M1C customer race cars of the 1960s. It is McLaren's lightest road car to date, featuring a bespoke carbon fibre chassis and a radical open-cockpit design that lacks a roof, side windows, and originally a windscreen. To protect occupants from the elements, it employs the Active Air Management System (AAMS), which uses a deployable deflector to channel high-speed air over the cabin. Powered by a titanium-exhaust-equipped version of the Senna's V8, it offers a visceral, raw driving experience focused on pure engagement.

McLaren Elva rarity in CarSpot
The McLaren Elva is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
McLaren Elva fun facts
- The Elva features the world's first Active Air Management System, which creates a 'bubble' of calm air for occupants by manipulating airflow at speeds above 28 mph.
- Production was originally planned for 399 units but was slashed twice, first to 249 and finally to just 149 units to ensure extreme exclusivity.
- A windscreen version was eventually offered for customers in markets where a physical glass barrier is a legal requirement, though it adds approximately 20kg to the car's weight.
