About the Ferrari Monza SP1
The Monza SP1 is the first model in Ferrari's 'Icona' series, designed to bridge the gap between the brand's historic racing heritage and modern performance. Based on the 812 Superfast, it features a bespoke carbon-fibre body in a 'barchetta' style, completely eschewing a roof and traditional windscreen. To protect the driver, Ferrari developed a patented 'Virtual Wind Shield' that redirects airflow over the cockpit. Its 6.5-litre V12 was, at launch, the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever produced by Maranello for a road car, offering a raw, visceral driving experience reminiscent of 1950s sports racers like the 750 Monza.
