About the Mazda CX-4
The Mazda CX-4 is a compact crossover SUV designed specifically for the Chinese market, bridging the gap between the CX-3 and CX-5. Previewed by the 2015 Koeru concept, it features a significantly lower roofline and a more raked rear window than its siblings, adhering to Mazda's 'Kodo' design language. Built by the FAW-Mazda joint venture, it utilizes the same 2,700mm wheelbase as the first-generation CX-5 but offers a more car-like driving experience due to its lower centre of gravity. The 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G variant serves as the entry-level powertrain, prioritising efficiency and smooth urban delivery over outright performance.
