About the Hyundai Alcazar
Launched in 2021, the Hyundai Alcazar is a three-row mid-size SUV developed primarily for the Indian market as a more premium, long-wheelbase alternative to the Creta. It features a 150mm longer wheelbase to accommodate six or seven passengers, with the 2.0-litre 'Nu' petrol engine providing a more powerful alternative to the Creta's smaller powerplants. The interior is distinguished by a dual-tone Cognac Brown and Black theme and high-end features like a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats. While successful initially, the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine was eventually replaced by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit in 2023 to meet stricter emission norms.
