About the Lincoln MKX
The first-generation Lincoln MKX debuted as the brand's entry into the burgeoning luxury crossover segment, sharing its CD3 platform with the Ford Edge. For 2008, it gained Ford's SYNC voice-activated infotainment system and standard heated and cooled front seats, positioning it as a value-rich alternative to the Lexus RX. The exterior is defined by its full-width LED taillight assembly and a chrome 'egg-crate' grille inspired by the 1960s Continental. While its 3.5-litre V6 provides adequate power, the MKX is primarily tuned for a quiet, isolated ride rather than athletic handling.
