About the Lincoln MKX
The second-generation Lincoln MKX debuted for the 2016 model year, moving to the Ford CD4 platform to better distance itself from its Ford Edge sibling. The highlight of this generation was the introduction of the 2.7-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, providing a significant torque advantage over the base naturally aspirated engine. It prioritises 'Quiet Luxury' with extensive sound deadening, an optional 19-speaker Revel Ultima audio system, and 22-way adjustable 'Multi-Contour' seats. While it lacks the sporting pretences of European rivals, it offers a composed, cloud-like ride quality suited for long-distance touring.
