About the Lancia Delta Mk1
Before it became a flared-arch rally icon, the Lancia Delta was a premium, Giugiaro-styled family hatchback designed to offer more sophistication than the contemporary Fiat Ritmo. The 1.3 LX trim was the upscale choice, featuring a luxurious interior with upholstery by the Italian fashion house Zegna and metallic paint. While the 75 hp engine provides modest performance, the car is celebrated for its light-footed handling and crisp, architectural design. Today, survivors of these non-performance trims are exceptionally rare, as many were lost to rust or overshadowed by the later HF Integrale models.
