About the Citroën BX
The Citroën BX was a pivotal model that successfully blended PSA Group mechanicals with Citroën's signature avant-garde engineering. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, its sharp, geometric lines and extensive use of plastic body panels made it one of the most distinctive family cars of the 1980s. The 1.6 TRS was a popular mid-range trim, offering a balance of the XU-series engine's reliability and the legendary self-levelling hydropneumatic suspension. Today, it is celebrated by collectors for its exceptional ride quality and its status as the car that saved Citroën from financial ruin.
