About the Lancia Aurelia B24
The Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider, often called the 'Spider America', is widely considered one of the most beautiful cars ever designed. Styled by Pinin Farina, it features a distinctive wraparound panoramic windscreen, cut-down doors without external handles, and a shortened wheelbase for superior handling. Mechanically advanced for its era, it utilised a 2.5-litre all-alloy V6 engine paired with a rear-mounted transaxle and inboard rear drum brakes to achieve near-perfect weight distribution. Only 240 were produced before it was replaced by the more conventional B24 Convertible, making the original Spider a blue-chip collector's item.
