About the Jeep Wrangler JK
The JK-generation Wrangler marked a significant evolution for Jeep, introducing the four-door 'Unlimited' body style that transformed the model from a niche off-roader into a viable daily driver. For the European market, the 2.8-litre CRD diesel engine, sourced from VM Motori, provided the low-end torque essential for technical trails while offering better fuel economy than the Pentastar V6. The 2012 update was particularly notable for its vastly improved interior, featuring higher-quality materials and better ergonomics compared to the early JK models. While its live-axle setup and brick-like aerodynamics result in a compromised on-road experience, its off-road capability remains nearly peerless in its class.
