About the Infiniti EX J50
The Infiniti EX 3.0d, launched in Europe in 2010, was the first diesel-powered model in the brand's history, featuring the V9X engine developed through the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Built on the Nissan FM platform shared with the 370Z, it prioritised handling and sleek, coupe-like styling over traditional SUV utility, resulting in a cramped rear cabin and small boot. The 3.0-litre V6 diesel provided a massive 550Nm of torque, making it a strong motorway cruiser with more mid-range punch than many petrol rivals. In 2013, the model was rebranded as the QX50 as part of Infiniti's global nomenclature shift.
