Honda RA106
Honda's first full works Formula One car since 1968, and the car in which Jenson Button won his first Grand Prix.
About the Honda RA106
The RA106 began life as the BAR 008 and became the first car of the full Honda works team after Honda completed its takeover of BAR. Designed under Geoff Willis and powered by the RA806E V8, it was quick in qualifying but less so in races, and a mid-season slump led to Willis's departure, with Shuhei Nakamoto taking over. Form improved from the German Grand Prix, and Jenson Button won in Hungary for his first Formula One victory. Rubens Barrichello, newly arrived from Ferrari, partnered Button, and the team finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship with 86 points.
