About the Honda e
The Honda e arrived in 2020 as a bold, clean-sheet design that eschewed the aggressive styling of modern EVs for a minimalist, retro aesthetic inspired by the first-generation Civic. The Advance trim was the range-topping variant, offering increased power and a high-tech interior dominated by a full-width digital dashboard and camera-based side mirrors. Despite universal praise for its tight turning circle and agile rear-wheel-drive handling, its small 35.5kWh battery limited its real-world range to approximately 100 miles. This niche positioning and premium price point led to slow sales, resulting in its discontinuation in early 2024 without a direct successor.
