About the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth
The three-door Sierra RS Cosworth went on sale in 1986 to support Ford’s Group A racing programme. Cosworth’s twin-cam turbocharged YB engine drives the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner five-speed manual. Its prominent rear wing, bonnet vents and Recaro seats make it far more purposeful than an ordinary Sierra. This entry represents the original three-door car, not the RS500 evolution or later Sapphire saloon.
