About the Ford Focus Mk2
The second-generation Ford Focus matured into a more refined and spacious vehicle while retaining the class-leading 'Control Blade' multi-link rear suspension that defined its predecessor's handling. The 2008 facelift introduced Ford's 'Kinetic Design' language, giving the car a sharper, more modern look with swept-back headlights and a revised interior. In Zetec trim, it struck a popular balance for UK buyers, offering a sportier suspension setup and alloy wheels without the higher running costs of the ST models. While the 1.6-litre engine is modest, the chassis remains one of the most rewarding in the C-segment, offering a level of steering feel and composure that few contemporary rivals could match.
