About the Force India VJM09
The VJM09 was designed under technical director Andrew Green and chief designer Akio Haga, and used the Mercedes PU106C Hybrid power unit. Sergio Pérez and Nico Hülkenberg drove it through 2016. Pérez finished third at both Monaco and the European Grand Prix in Baku, and at the Belgian Grand Prix Hülkenberg and Pérez came home fourth and fifth. Those results helped Force India beat Williams to fourth place in the Constructors' Championship, the highest finish in the team's history.
