About the Force India VJM07
Force India's 2014 car was designed under technical director Andrew Green around the new Mercedes PU106A Hybrid power unit and Petronas fuel. Nico Hülkenberg returned from Sauber and Sergio Pérez arrived from McLaren. The car was strong early in the season, and in Bahrain Pérez finished third and Hülkenberg fifth, the team's biggest single-race points haul to that point. Limited budget meant development slowed and its pace faded later in the year, but Force India still finished sixth in the Constructors' Championship.
