About the Fiat Uno

Launched in 1983 to replace the 127, the Fiat Uno was a landmark design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, prioritising interior space through a tall, 'monobox' silhouette. The 1.0 Fire variant, introduced in 1985, featured the 'Fully Integrated Robotised Engine', which was lighter and had fewer parts than its predecessors for improved reliability and efficiency. It won European Car of the Year in 1984 and became one of the best-selling cars in history. Today, early 'Series 1' examples with the Fire engine are increasingly sought after by collectors for their minimalist Italian design and historical significance.
