About the Fiat 2100

Introduced at the 1959 Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat 2100 was the brand's flagship executive car, designed to compete with Mercedes-Benz and Alfa Romeo. It featured a modern 'trapezoidal' body style influenced by American design trends of the era, specifically the work of Pininfarina. The 2.1-litre straight-six engine was a new design by Aurelio Lampredi, providing a level of refinement and smoothness rarely seen in mid-market Italian cars. While the 2100 was short-lived, being replaced by the 2300 in 1961, it remains a significant milestone in Fiat's history as a producer of high-end luxury saloons.
