About the Ferrari Dino 246 GT
The Dino 246 GT succeeded the 206 GT in 1969, enlarging the V6 and adopting a longer wheelbase. Ferrari marketed it under the Dino name to distinguish its smaller-engined sports cars from the marque’s traditional twelve-cylinder models. A transverse 2.4-litre engine, five-speed manual and compact mid-engine layout give the fixed-roof GT a distinctive driving character. Its curving Pininfarina body and accessible balance made it an influential template for later Ferrari road cars.
