About the Koenigsegg CCX
Unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the CCX (Competition Coupé X) was the first Koenigsegg engineered for global markets, specifically meeting US safety and emissions standards. It replaced the Ford-based blocks of earlier models with a bespoke, in-house 4.7-litre V8 featuring twin centrifugal superchargers. The car gained notoriety on Top Gear, where it set a lap record after the addition of a rear wing (the 'Koenigsegg wing') to improve high-speed stability. With its dihedral synchro-helix doors and removable targa top, it remains a landmark of boutique hypercar engineering.

Koenigsegg CCX rarity in CarSpot
The Koenigsegg CCX is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
